I still have the transmission from the 91 RX7 that your flywheel
came from........I will check the side play for you tomorrow..........
From past experience with manual transmissions the input shaft
had what one would consider a lot of play at the pilot end of the
shaft then not supported by the pilot bearing.......By the way the
RX7 pilot bearing is an actual bearing and not a bushing.......By
all means I would replace it..........It can be a bear to get out........
There is a special puller sold by the Madza part suppliers but it
is pricy........Some on the list have ground them out but be careful
not to enlarge or make the pilot bore out of round..........FWIW
