The Greenies don't want us to switch to ethanol (well, not all of them at least), they want us to quit driving altogether. Ethanol is here thanks to the well honed lobbying efforts of the largest corporate conglomerates in the world. ADM and Monsanto aren't happy with pushing corn-syrup into everything in the grocery store. They want to be Exxon and BP, too. Not that there is anything wrong with that; other than it being stupid for our elected representatives to aid them with the power of the legislature.
