I told the parts guy that they were going to be used on an RV, which seemed to please him. IIRC they were only about $20 and the service was fast. They were so nice that I made a mold of them before glassing them into my cowl, then I made another set from that for the other side. The set I bought are ~5"x10", but I think they had a few size options. They look quite nice when properly glassed into the cowl. After finding out that louvers are only made to 5" each, I decided that I would mold a rear facing pair of scoops in firberglass. My first mold is C**P, but I have a new idea. I'll build a male plug that fits directly to the cooler and out the side of the cowl. I'll lay it up flat on a table with a flange, and attach it from the inside so it won't show an edge buildup on the outside of the VANS cowl. I would have used a James Rotary cowl, but they were not available when I started, and the Fred Breese early RV-8 mount wouldn't let the turbo sit far enough aft to fit in it anyway.
