Don't worry, Ernest, you can make installment payments on the bolts {:>). 
Sounds like the end play is right where you want it.  The engine parts 
looked good and it felt right when turned over - so I'm convinced your 
rebuild job was just fine.

 Now, I am interested in how your "home brewed" ceramic coating is going to 
endure.  That may provide one inexpensive way of holding down the oil temps.
