The problem I see = from pulling down different motors, one housing will have lost chrome = surface and the other seems OK both from the same motor, but the second = one is most likely just on the cusp. You just don't know at what stage = of wear these housing are at ( even if they look OK) - better to buy new = ones and know what you have in your engine. You can evaluate the wear on = the cast iron housings and even then they can be ground and re-nitrited = if need be. Buying new will be more cost effective in the long run.
