Add this to y'all's store of the world's most useless trivia. Some
mfgrs. are adding a bit of yellow dye during the zinc plating
operations to give the parts a "cadmium" appearance without the
HazMat worries.

Now only available if manufactured before a date long ago, like surplus. Cad plating is out. Zink and silver plating is in. They were phasing out cad when I was still there.
