George,

I have been using an E-Trex Marine since about 5years. When I go somewhere, I put the place in the way points. Over time, most places I can go with my slow plane are in there. Off course the map is useless, but the compass rose is better than a gyro compass and I have the GOTO arrow. The only problem I ever had when I punched in the wrong GOTO.

Has anybody used a cheapie GPS ( standard road GPS) in an Aeroplane, just wondering if it would work or not?

I just posted this over on the vansairforce.net. I decided to go ahead and add S-Mode traffic so my GTX327 is for sale. Tray and Stark Aviation wiring harness will be removed from the project this weekend. It's a new unit and never powered up. I am asking $1350 is anyone on the list is interested.. While getting a quote for the new avionics both Stein and Stark said Garmin is increasing prices after the January 25th. Sure wish they had some real competition for this stuff.

Thanks.. Bobby Hughes
