Off the electric supercharger thread but I need a 5 speed transmission for my son's 1991 RX7. I thought someone on the list might have a trans laying around from the donor engine for their airplane project or know of one somewhere.
He is driving my 94 Twin Turbo until his car is operational again.
For an on topic note my Lancair 235 with a Powersport engine is going into the paint shop the end of Jan 08. The wings and control surfaces are all painted. I'll send pictures soon.  90% done 25% to go.

Thanks

Is he interested in a whole car (with overheated engine)? I forget if it's an 86 or 88 model; it's been sitting in my hangar for about 8 or 10 years since the top tank on the radiator cracked & I drove it about 25 miles on the highway without realizing it. Duhhh.

Hi Charlie,

I might be interested.  What are you asking for it?

Bob, Mike,

I'm near Jackson MS (Slobovia Outernational, MS71).

I've kept it with the thought that it would be a donor car for an a/c rotary conversion, but it's obvious that the Renesis is a better choice today.

It has minor damage to both front fenders (encounter with bridge guard rails when a tie rod end broke) & paint/interior are what you might expect from 10 years & 140k miles of driving followed by 10 years of dry storage. Tires have plenty of tread & have never gone flat, but they've been sitting for 10 years.

I'd consider selling just the trans, but I don't have the time (or motivation) to pull it. :-)

I haven't really thought about a price. There's a JDM tranny on ebay right now with bidding at ~$400 (310008033503) & a complete car with locked engine at ~$800 (120199282428).

How about $600? I'll help load it & we've got spare bedrooms so you can overnight before your return trip.

If anyone's serious about buying it, I'll pull it out after the holidays  for a wash job & photo session.

Charlie
