Then too, I've long been under the impression that Mazdatirx adds a huge markup to the products they sell. Since since I last posted, I've done a bit more research, and there's Good News and Bad News. The bad news is that ProCharger doesn't seem to have exactly a pristine reputation for customer service or backing their products. I found, within five Google display pages three instances where folks were unhappy with ProCharger's customer service and/or warrenty service. Wanna bet how fast they back away, were they told that this is for a airplane? The good news is that a big chunk of what Mazdatrix charges for the RX7 installation appears to for that fancy cast mounting bracket for the blower, and stuff we don't need for the aviation application. I saw Vortech based kits for a 3.8 and 5.0 liter Mustangs (5 - 6 psi) for as little as $2081 at Summit Racing. A little work with some aluminum plate for the R13B mount, and a connection to the induction system, and it looks like a workable system could be had for under $3K. 'Course then there'd be another EC2 from Tracy - or can an EC2 for n/a be upgraded to one for supercharging? There are still a lot of other considerations: exhaust (noise), price/performance re: turbo-charging ... Dale R.
