Hello All...
I was hoping for some ideas on how to mitigate or eliminate the risk of a nut falling off the mount plate of the throttle body. As you can see in the attached picture #1, two bolts are just inside the intake manifold. Thoughts that have gone through my mind:
1) Tap the holes, then use a larger bolt with locktite( or similar )
2) Use a 1/2" aluminum plate to attach the throttle body to, countersinking the back side deep enough to allow the nuts to sit recessed, then attach that assembly to the plate you see in the picture, however using holes drilled outboard of both the throttle body and plenum
I really don't feel that leaving the nuts inside the plenum is wise, but perhaps I am worrying too much...
What are your thoughts?
Thank You
-Scott
