Temp sensors: In the lab to get accurate readings take a while. For thermal mass we dump the sensors into a small jar of sand. Gives the thermal mass to help keep the readings stable for calibration (we measure down to 0.010 of a degree, but spec with 1 degree accuracy). There is only one issue, keeping the sensors free of moisture and sand. Easily solved by a simple latex device. Yes, a condom. Our lab manager went down to Costco and bought the 1000 count bulk package of them. We still do laugh about our accounting department seeing that invoice with a note "for use in the lab". :) Tom
