A quick question!
The side inlets in the cast end-housings, have a reducer ( reduction in inlet size) of approx 2mm ( all round) just after the opening. This reducer ( reduced area) carries through to the housing face where it changes to the face shape.
Does this reducer act as a choke of the inlet charge. I've had advice that it doesn't do anything but wonder why it's there?
