Ernest,
The AN fittings should seal by themselves. If they don't there is=20
something wrong. Since you are talking about radiator fittings I'll=20
assume the fittings are aluminum. (on the radiator) Welding them in can=20
distort them. Check the Earls/Holley catalog. They have a repair washer=20
for AN fittings that have been damaged. The repair washer should do the=20
trick for you.

I used 37 degree AN fittings on my radiators. They aren't sealing=20
completely. The best I've been able to do is limit the leaking to a=20
bubble every two seconds with 25psi of air pressure (pressurize the=20
system and then dunk it in a tub of water). =A0
Is it permissible or advisable to use some sort of nylon washer inside=20
the fitting to get an airtight seal?=A0
