A builders log, an airframe log, a propeller log and an engine log.=20 =20 Just to be clear, you are "required" to have a builders log, and an = airframe log, but for an experimental, it's only "suggested" that you have a prop = or engine log. I've had 5 aircraft inspected, and have only presented an engine or prop log once (they came with the new engine and prop). My builders log and photos have always been on computer, and I just set up = a laptop so the DAR can review them. I always have a CD with all the info = as well, in case he wants a copy of it for his records. =20 =20 For the aircraft log, I just use a cheap logbook that I get from Spruce, = but I like the idea of just making your own. All you need to do is list all = the general info you can think of for the airframe, engine, and prop.
