Yes, the "mythical" first-start condition requires more than just time, money and effort - you also must pay homage to the deities of "Do it Right the Xth time",  "Do it Over - just for the heck of it", "Oh, I though the oil flowed the other way" and a few other similar deities. 
 
Old brains may be slower, but they are frequently more thorough - simply because they are not distracted as much by SEX (whatever that was), crying infants (unless you children came back to live with you), Working for a living (if that fortunate), etc.
 
So hang in there, John,  you'll get there when all First-Start "dues" have been paid {:>)

Two drivers schools with two races each and then 6 practice race weekends, then you get a license.That's what they should do with everyone on the California Highways :))   Thomas, I believe this was the program that Paris Hilton was in, like 79 mph in a 35 zone.  

        The first start is one very elusive condition, every day there are more details that need to be figured out and my ole brain isn't as active as it once was.  If I can get the heat valve for the carb heat fabricated and hooked up, all things may be coming together.  JohnD
