Sorry, I recall some of your Kolb testing.  How much weight did you finally test with?

My best recollection is 3 lbs.  I'm sure it did make some difference, as did changing props, but none of it made enough difference to eliminate the problems. 
 
If I had a 2500 rpm centrifugal clutch, with my current drive and softer rubber damper, I think all would be well.  Even still, lots of Rotax types run at 2000-2500 rpm, and 2500 rpm is only about 1000 prop rpm, so I could probably live with it if I had to.
 
Rusty (gyro's a lot safer than a motorcycle)
