You just have to think of it as turning on the disable. :) I once sold a house. The home inspector found the hot and cold water to the shower was reversed. It was one of those single knob units where you had to rotate it to change the temperature. If you turned it clockwise, the water got hotter and it's supposed to get colder. It made more sense to me to turn it clockwise to get more heat but that's not the way they are supposed to work. (It wasn't me that installed it either.) Bob W.
