Nope, I've never had the pleasure.. I hear they are a REAL handful to fly but I've never been able to get time in them. I knew of one company up here that had one but they got rid of it for a B200 instead.. which makes sense up here [lots of bush trips] They are fast [I'd call them a scream as well.. but thats really just those Garret engines.. full RPM all the time.. until shutdown.. then ya gotta get your gloves on and count 28 blades on each engine.. sigh..] and don't handle very well when slow.. t'is about all I know about them.. well that and the wings are on upside down.. or at least it looks like it.. :-)

The 601P was a turbo piston pressurized the same as the 414.
It was so light on the controls that it felt like a pitts or something.. a
dream to fly.. just don't get slow while landing.. or your landing
will become an arrival.. The slowest I shot my approaches was 120knts
[while by myself] and you didn't even think about rotating until 102knt
on take-off.. other than that.. it was a scream.. literally..
