Chris,

Do you have your prop installed yet?  If not, be very careful not to over-rev the engine.  With no flywheel, these things rev like a formula 1 race car.

Guys,

Thanks for the input. We have not tried the troubleshooting yet as we tried the start after 8:00pm and since I get up at 4:30am for work, it was getting late.  So our post was kinda "thinking out loud" to our current status.  We figured we would start fresh when I get up there tonight (yesterday, Tuesday is my Sunday and I had been tinkering all day for the eventuality of attempting to start this block of metal and tangle of wires./hoses.

We did not get a spark with the B computer...so I have some tracing to do.

Again, thanks for the words of experienced opinion. As you know, we will keep you posted...........of course, if'n we get it to start you will likely hear my shouts of joy and be blinded by the glean of my smile..

All the best,

Chris.

Dave,
My 2 cents worth...  Have you tried the injector simulation test to see if the injectors are working?  This is done in Mode 1 with the engine off, and fuel pumps off (otherwise you'll get lots of gas pouring into the engine).  Pressing the store button (while in Mode 1) should activate the injectors as if the engine was running at 3000 rpm.  This should be easy to hear and will verify if your injectors are opening.  Take a stethescope (or long screwdriver) and listen to each injector to verify that each one is working.  If this test is successful, and you have spark, you should have exhaust noise.

Fuel pressure is a little high. I see 43 on one, 46 on both.
You crankled on B with no start, then used cold start.
I know you said you smelled no fuel, but change plugs and try cranking
on A with just a few squirts of prime.
Do you see a small RPM reading on EM2 while squirting prime?
Do you have good compression?
Try both batteries on.

Getting close....
John
