Tony,
I have to admit that I have not gone to the Dr. Gas site, so this comment 
may be off-base. The ports are oval in the vertical direction, but if the 
intent is to have the manifold bend over the top of the engine, the bend 
needs to be in the horizontal direction. Or, are you sawing off part of the 
RX-8 manifold and attaching at that point? then it could work.

Oval tube would give better clearance under the cowl on tight fitting 
installations.
