BTW, it is VERY risky probing around on the back side of the EC2 connector to test things. Last time I did it I slipped with a scope probe and shorted a couple of 'worst case' pins together and wiped out an EC2, an EM2 and the Data logger. Ouch!

I knew I'm going to hear about that:) But I was going to be down for 3-4 weeks anyway, plus my hands ate study like a watchmaker.
Now the good news: Bob White offered to send me his EC to see if the problem is in my wiring, or the EC?
I'll let you know who screwed up :)
