Indeed soldering 74 pins is a = bit=20 daunting.  It looks like I get back into the air this Friday to = Sun=20 & Fun then a trip to Louisiana on way back to see kin folks and = then=20 back here by the end of the month.  I like your idea, If you = know the=20 part numbers for the crimp-on 37 pin Sub D connectors, let me know = and I=20 will order the parts.
