I would like to publicly apologize for making your painfully slow building rate so obvious :-) =20 =20 BTW, I still can't figure out how people part with something that = takes so much blood, sweat & tears to build. Maybe I'm overly prone to = developing emotional attachments to machines.=20 =20 Bob got it right, I just like to build things. If I had an unlimited = amount of money, and space, I'd keep the RV-8. There will certainly be times = that I'll wish I had it. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Even now, I'm dying to get started on the single rotor powered Dominator gyro (already have an insurance quote to prove I could satisfy the county hanger requirements), but the RV-8 is tying up all my resources. I'm already thinking of building a Little Wing gyro, or perhaps an RV-12 when the Dominator is flying, so as you can see, I won't miss the RV-8 too much.=20 =20 But mine is coming along after deciding to devote some uninterrupted = "RV-8 only" days on it. =20 =20 I really can't wait to see the performance number on your plane. I have = a feeling it's going to smoke the Lycoming and PowerSports RV-8's that = Van's tested.
