You guys are right, this is the current plan.
I've had a turbo rotary on a test stand for a few years, just need to
get it running. There is very little left to do, just a little more
wiring and plumbing in some oil ports for the PSRU. It's been cold
lately so I haven't been that motivated to go out to the hangar and
work on it. I don't want to take the redrive off my plane, so I put out
a request to borrow one and Dave L. offered. It has to be a 2.17
reverse rotation. I'll have a lot of time over the holidays to
hopefully get the engine going. Then maybe some testing can happen
January '07.
The prop is now back with Butch but he has been busy lately, and he is
also disappointed at the slow progress at getting it tested.
I would like to build a new set of blades as I think the original set
is too thick and too heavy, but Butch has no more shanks. We are going
to test it as-is anyway.
Then we need to see about getting some more blade shanks manufactured.

Jarrett,
That was the last I heard as well, sort of an open ended offer for
me to send up my PSRU and maybe something would get done. With the
rate of the project so far, I am afraid to commit my PSRU for a long
period of time, as I do plan to fly again someday. (hopefully by this
summer...)

Last I'd heard was it was going up to Perry Mick's and
Dave L. was sending his PSRU w/ Paul L. for testing, that was a few
weeks ago [ or do I have my wires crossed w/ some other testing
project?]

the time I know it is :-)]
