Hang in there Wendell,
My wife was about as "enthusiastic" about
my project as yours. She did come around a bit, when neighbor hood women
commented on "how smart" her husband must be to build his own airplane
{:>). She eventually helped buck some rivets in places where I simply
could not reach. She does not, has not and probably will not fly with me
in it. No concern about safety - just flying is not her thing.
But, fortunately, she does not mind me
attending flying ins or spending time at the hangar. So while at times,
I think it would be nice is she flew with me, at least I can enjoy my
hobby.

Wendell,
Has your wife ridden in a like
aircraft? No My wife had a "do
your own
thing" attitude about mine until the last Copperstate
Fly-In, when I
managed to snag a ride for her (& me, too) in a COZY
(Thank you
Marc.) She's actually showing some enthusiasm for me
completing
the project now.

My wife would reluctantly fly in a Cessna years ago (claims afraid of
heights for her excuse), but like Ed put it, flying is not her thing,
it is the complete unwillingness to even ask a question about it or discuss it in the
least is what is so disheartening. But she lets me spend a little money on it so I
should be happy with that I guess.
