I think you are referring to the idle issue, which may be influenced with the throttle location. This depends on what idle speed you need. The single rotor idles at about 1200RPM sort of ruff. If I have a good idle at 1600RPM, it is good for my airplane. That is because my prop is running at 2000RPM max-600RPM at idle at this time with the SOOB. With the single, it will run at 500RPM at 1600 idle, or even less if I get the right gear ratio.
On a fast airplane it is a different story. However, what are you fast drivers idling at now?

With my electric Ivo Prop and 2.17 redrive I can idle at 1500-1600 fine. With the 2.81 will be even better.
