My idea was to have a "stepped" release of the sound energy. First  will expand some in the oval section, than expand more in the  augmentor tube while mixing with cooler air being sucked by the  velocity of the exhaust gasses. After that being chopped by the prop  blades?

Looks good, buly... I'm not so hesitant now about strait pipe exhaust now. We are unable to mate our turbo housing onto the exhaust manifolds that we have without interfering with the Mistral Intake.. and the Mistral is gonna stay AS IS.. so we have to work around it.

Chris.. if you are reading this.. any desire/opposition against two straight pipes coming out and swept DOWN/BACK (through a cowl cutout) so that they arent aiming at the prop disk? or try to emulate what Buly has here.. which he emulated from John Slade..?

My setup also works the augmentor which is needed during taxi and static on the ground. I'm convinced it helps. Also I would suggest using oval stainless pipe after the collector. Burns have them, even bends. That will help some with reducing the noise.
