I meant to include this link in the last post.  Note the article says “This alloy also exhibits high creep and rupture strength; outstanding fatigue and thermal-fatigue strength; as well as excellent weldability (though the guy welding it might have a different opinion!).

 Welding inconel is fairly easy with the tig welder, machining it is a total pain in the backside.
