Lynn, great sketch.  The tabs are 3/4" for standoff distance, then shorter bend for 1/4" wide clamp, then tiny bend to hold clamp from slipping sideways.

This is in MSPaint so it is not as good as it should be.
 
I would drill and wire the clamp screw as well as a loop beside the clamp, just in case the clamp goes away.
