One way to minimize problems with potential heater tube bursts (whether oil
or water) is instead of using system pressure to route the hot liquids, pump the
liquids from a low or ambient pressure area such as the oil pan or the header
tank using a small electric pump. This way the pressure will be significantly
lower in the heating system yielding much less possibility of rupture or leakage
and much less of a problem if they occur.
