William,
Well, it is nice to know I have Kevin fooled!
We
can cut you two flanges with the proposed change, no problem. You are
looking at $25 ea for them. Shipping would be additional. When they are
done, we can call you, get a credit card number and take care of it all
then.
I
will wait for a verification email to proceed with this
understanding:
Cut two of the same flanges that Kevin designed (I already verified
that he is okay with that), except put a 1.75" diameter bore in them. I will
put the center of the bore in line with the bolt holes left-to-right, and at
that 2.4/2.6 coordinate up-to-down (.100" off of centered between the bolt
holes).
If
that is okay, we will get going, and should be able to have them on UPS (or
other) in a week or less.
Let me know, and thanks for the inquiry.

You were recommended to me by Kevin Lane,
(see note below)
I am interested in having some flanges very
similiar to what Kevin had made, from 304 Stainless steel.
The only change that I would want is to have
the center hole be circular (i.e. round) for 1.75" tube to be welded into
place. The picture sony 001.jpg is a photo of the flanges you made below,
Scan10023_c.jpg is a scan Kevin's drawing showing the desired change to a
round hole instead of the peculiarly shaped one.
Are you willing to make more flanges? I am in
need of two of them. What would be your price and turnaround
time?
Thank you

Brit programs the laser, takes care of orders, seems quite competent,
returns calls, double checks discrepancies etc....

Subject: [FlyRotary] laser
parts
my flanges came back from Laser Cutting Services. They have
been great people to deal with. I left the slug in the one
flange to show how thin a cut the laser makes. Apparently water
jet cutting produces even a finer cut, but for small production runs
laser is cheaper. These are 3/8" 304 stainless.
