If so, what exchanger will handle the oil pressure and spikes of the rotary? All comments (sensible) welcome.

What spikes are you talking about Wendell? Velocity has been using this setup with oil coolers in the nose for years. They use i believe 1/2' aluminum tube sleeved in clear plastic tube. just use a oil cooler designed for high pressure.
