Vance was an occasional poster to the 'other' rotary list & a very bright aero designer/engineer. I had the pleasure of a long conversation with him over lunch at OSH several years ago. If you've never read any of his stuff, google his name & see how prolific he was & how much we've lost. Charlie >> All, For your info..................... Scott B. Jaqua wrote .. Please accept my apologys if this is not the correct address to write to, or if you receive this news multiple times. My brother Doug and I are trying to contact as many of the people that knew our parents as possible. We know that the many contacts our father made in the aircraft world would want to know. On Sunday Evening at about 10:00pm my mother Emily Jaqua, lost her battle with lung cancer. In the same hospital this morning at around 3:00am my father Vance Jaqua lost his battle with Leukemia. They had both been very ill since last fall. However they were still active enough to attend my nephews graduation party the Saturday of Fathers Day weekend. Both passed as easily as possible under the circumstances. Their last stay in the hospital was very short. This is both the best and worst that could have happened. They were spared a long drawn suffering, but it has turn my Brother's and my world upside down. There will be no funeral service. However, in the near future there will be a celebration of their lives. -- Scott B Jaqua Hagerson Forge =========================================================== For those of you who didn't know Vance, he was a real asset to the homebuilding community as an aero-engineer and designer. He was instrumental in several designs including the KIS TR-2 and TR-4. He conducted numerous forums at Oshkosh, Copperstate, Sun-N-Fun and other local fly-ins. His help aided many in realizing their dreams of building and flying their homebuilt aircraft. He will be missed by many of us.
