Actually, Dave Leonard's "Rotary Roster" does already contain most of
the information we're talking about here. It is also sorted
alphabetically,
but requires - as you mention - "looking up" (scrolling
down to) a
particular individual's data. That is not major problem
to overcome, it's
just a matter of adding one field to each person's entry
to link directly
to that persons data within the page.
I've put a
sample file on my website to illustrate:
Right clicking on each line
below should take you to the top of each
person's
entry:
That's what I had in mind.
If, however, it is kept a secret (unintentional though it may be) it does
not help most of the viewers/contributors.
How do we view the whole list and add our own information?
Additionally, I would like to see the origin of the engine (new, salvage,
etc., if salvage, approx. prior miles) and what was done to the engine itself
(self rebuild, professional rebuild, no rebuild) prior to the conversion.
Data like this will be greatly helpful in, not only helping the group help
people with problems, but also will possibly disclose problems with specific
products, procedures or shops or conversions. Conversely it will show the good
parts of these.
