Plus loosing the outer belt (my supercharger belt) might take out the CAS. Need one on the other end of the engine. Might be able to sandwich one between the prop and Tracy's redrive. Bobby I think the advantage of changing the timing is over-rated and the ease of triggering the ignition systems I have outlined. In order to just maintain a backup wheel for operating the injection, you could run the water pump at half speed using a toothed belt, and make up a double relutctor wheel for mounting on the water pump pulley. Or, run one off of the alternator pulley. Just as easy. The alternator can run the same RPM as the crank, and use another stock reluctor wheel. We run the oil pump with a one inche by half inch pitch belt. It is bullet proof. It can even eat a stone from time to time and keep going. Very strong and cheap in standard sizes. Many pulley sizes (tooth counts) available too. Research may show that the full tooth count is not required at all, and only the gap in a solid disc may be enough. Or, an older front cover with a CAS installed along with the late front pulley and pickup, to get two sources for injection timing. Lynn E.
