As far as sealing elect wires ans stress relief, would hot glue do the trick?

I have found hot glue (glue gun) quite effective as a wire anchor when gluing to fiberglass. Don’t know about long-term adhesion to metal. Great for hard to reach places where you might get a glue gun into.  Generally used between more conventional anchors and wire ties, and in corners. When used over tefzel insulation it does not damage the insulation.
