Business. Lycoming, Continetal and a whole host of supporting companys spend big money in Ad sales which consequently, makes the payment on the editors Mercedes Benz.! So, I'm sure you guys are smart enough to see what it is going to take to get our voices heard. If we approach this idea like a pilot for a new show, this is how it works. First you need a title sponsor. Mystral comes to mind or Tracy, (or some other national sponsor) someone who is leading the industry. Remember where not trying to sell the people who are already building and flying rotarys we want new ones. Have some blk/wht printed material with a few color adds (not just a flier those go in the trash) nothing to fancy at first to keep the cost down and pay a kid 8/hr to hand out as many as possible at the gate of Oshkosh or Sun and fun. > >Or! call A&E or Discovery channel and have them do a show on rotarys in homebuilt aircraft, much like the chopper is born series(reality T.V.). It's alot easier to do than you might think. I have connections in that department I'll ask around and see what I can come up with. There may be some cost involved but everyone will know about rotarys in airplanes that is for damn sure. It certainly didn't hurt Rotorway!!! The only problem I see is that the call volume will be unbelievable and you'll need a way to manage that. > > > But, Tony, there's the rub. What you're > suggesting requires a budget. > > -- Sure we do it's called an "Idea" that's all anyone has to sell is an idea all product is just a derivitive of any one of a million ideas. Sure it requires a budget. Unless! we can get picked up by a large affiliate like Discovery or A&E then where off to the races boys and girls. Just need the right P.O.A. I'll work on it next week. My Executive producer has won an Emmy already, and is nominated for another one this year. We'll figure it out.
