Today I went there =20= again and had bad spark plug flooding problem. I had just checked and =20= improved the vacuum hose for the MP to the EC2, so it was out of the =20 question something could be wrong with the hose. Had to reset the factory settings on =20= the EC2, and now it starts much better. Al,

Could you have knocked = off a vacuum hose during your work on the upholstery, paint, etc. = =A0=A0Might be worth checking.Mark S.

No, drained the fuel completely a couple of months ago. = =A0Put in new gas after moving to the hangar.

=A0

It may be something = simpler; but the only thought I come up with so far is the mixture = mapping was somehow corrupted. =A0I=92ll know more when I get out there = and view the mixture mapping on the EM2.

=A0

Appreciate you guys = spending some time thinking about this problem.=A0 I=92m sure it will = get resolved. =A0I=92ll give a call when he=92s back and see what comes to his = mind.

=A0I put about 4 - 5 hours of time on my engine = installation months ago, and had everything pretty much =93dialed in=94 = for proper running from 1000 rpm up to max static rpm (~5200).=A0 Then = it sat with no running for about 6 months while I did upholstery, paint = and other stuff in my life.=A0 I=92ve moved the plane to the airport, = and got it all assembled.=A0 Yesterday rolled it out for an engine = run-up.

=A0

Since the beginning it had always fired off = after a few strokes, and I=92d turn off the cold start switch seconds = after it was running. This time I had difficulty in getting it started.=A0= Once I got it running, it would quit immediately when the cold start = switch was turned off. =A0Leaving the cold start =93on=94 it runs fine = above about 2000 rpm with the mixture turned toward lean to about 9:00 = o=92clock.=A0 Reducing rpm lower it wants to die. As I increase rpm = above 2000 I need to rotate mixture knob significantly toward to richer = to keep things smooth.

Fuel pressure, MAP, ignition, etc. all are = normal.=A0 When I get the mixture knob adjusted it is smooth, so = injectors are working on all three rotors. =A0I didn=92t take it above = the staging point so it is running on one set of injectors.=A0 Haven=92t = had a chance yet to look at the mixture map on the EM2, and won=92t get = back to the airport until Monday.

I=92m a bit baffled on what could have changed = since last operation and what to check.=A0 Anybody have any similar = experience?=A0 Ideas?
