Is this the Bolder Battery thin film technology? I had one of those in a
portable jump-starter, it was very light but it did not last very long.
I was thinking of using the Bolder battery for a back-up in my RV6.
Could be very exciting technology if it will hold up. It will be great
for electric car drag racing.
Bolder TMF is what I used to have in the bike. Not really suitable for a primary aircraft battery. They don't last very long. They don't have many amp-hrs per pound. They don't hold a charge on the shelf for very long.
Bolder TMF could be great for aircraft starting if used in combination with a less powerful, but higher capacity battery. This is possible, and could be superior, but could get complicated as you would need to have to manage the charge between the two batteries in an intelligent way.
Bolder TMF is perfect for a jump start. You can buy these units. They weigh just 3 pounds.
