You've got my attention. I'd certainly be very interested and would like to
know a little more. It sounds pretty steep, but I suppose a good comparison
would be to consider how much $$$ some are willing to spend on aluminum side
plates (if they ever actually become available) for how much weight
savings???
I'm guessing that most of the backward-plane crowd actually need the
ballast in the nose anyways, so wouldn't be interested in it for weight
savings, but most conventional planes could certainly benefit.
I see your post on the RV list was met with skepticism, which is to be
expected unless it has been blessed by Van himself, but might I suggest that
you send them a link to your KillaCycle project (very impressive) as a way
of establishing your credentials.
