Staged injectors help this considerably, and I believe Tracy has the ability now to use different size primary and secondary injectors.  You might could use a smaller primary, and a large secondary if you got desperate.   BTW, the FD does in fact use 550 primaries, and 850 secondaries.  Anyone know what the Renesis uses?
There's an issue I haven't spent much time considering.  I have four of the Ford 42lb injectors and a set of four used Mazda injectors (that I wouldn't trust past a test stand).  I believe the stock injectors are larger than 42lb (?).  I can run large stock injectors in the engine block holes, and smaller injectors just behind the throttle body on the opposite end of the intake manifold. -Then I can use the stock injector manifold for the two large injectors.
-The intake charge will be denser from evaporative cooling which should translate to an incremental increase in power (?)
-BSFC will see a slight increase from more complete mixing (?)
