Eggenfellner has a
new four
blade prop with "Quinti"
hub,"Sensenich" hollow composite blades and
"Newsted" electronic controller that he
hopes to have at 'Sun-N-Fun..........
These are all electric props that can be
flown as either inflight adjust or in
constant speed mode.........A lot of development is
going on with props
for the alternate engine crowd.......
A prop company called "Grand
Aero" will also be at "Sun-N-Fun"........
They are developing a three blade electric prop that
will use the so called
"ELLIPSE" blades designed by Paul Lipps and
reported in several articles
in the
past year
At
some point in the future I expect to be looking for a variable pitch prop to replace
to Catto on my Velocity 20B. So I look forward to hearing feedback from
guys going to Sun ‘N Fun on what may be coming for the 250hp+ group.
Oh, yeah; and it has to weigh less than 50# and cost less than $10,000.
