I'm not sure what to think about their last line. If you
start with reconditioned cylinders, it won't need a top, you will just have to
replace the cylinders???
I'm scratching my head
over that one too :-)
PS: How do you get an RV-8 assembled this fast and still
keep up with this email list?
Working out of my house
helps a lot. I also tend to be pretty efficient when I'm actually working
the plane. The only tip I could pass along is to pre-load your brain with
the next sessions activities. For example, I just finished the front
baggage compartment. Rather than coming in, I spent a few minutes reading
the next section, which happens to be the forward consoles. I got the
parts out, looked at the prints, and eyeballed the fit, then came in for the
night. Now, my balding little brain will think about this until the next
time I go out there, and by that time, I'll know exactly how to proceed.
This means that I'll be doing productive work within just a couple minutes of
when I go out there next. I'm also completely anal about organization, and
I have every tool Avery ever stocked :-)
Cheers,
Rusty (my new best
friend is the pneumatic squeezer)
