Hi George,

I was under the impression that the RD's need full oil pressure (60-80
psi).  Does the Pegasus put out that kind of pressure?  Also, how large
is the reservoir you're using?  I was thinking about using a separate
oil system for my RD-1C, but finally decided I didn't need another
device drawing current, besides the engine oil connection was
simpler. :)

Just a thought.  I noticed that the oil coming out of my RD-1A gearbox is
foamed, from the meshing gears no doubt, and the oil in the engine may   also have some air entrained from the rotor gears.

Perhaps it might be prudent to use a separate oil system for the turbocharger.
I have one on my gearbox, which consists of the Pegasus electric pump,
a reservoir and a filter.  It seems to work very well and is not very heavy.

I personally do not need a turbo, but if I did, I'd look at the quality of the oil
lube and cooling if my turbochargers kept failing prematurely.
