I noticed that the oil coming out of my RD-1A gearbox is foamed, from the meshing gears no doubt, and the oil in the engine may also have some air entrained from the rotor gears. Perhaps it might be prudent to use a separate oil system for the turbocharger. I have one on my gearbox, which consists of the Pegasus electric pump, a reservoir and a filter. It seems to work very well and is not very heavy. I personally do not need a turbo, but if I did, I'd look at the quality of the oil lube and cooling if my turbochargers kept failing prematurely.
