Just how long would 125 gallons of gas run a 5000 W generator?

Bob,
FYI in my non-flying RV I have an Onan 5500 W generator. This really is overkill for my unit but I got it cheap. My wife and I dry camp every year for a Rodeo (She's the cowpuncher), and running the generator for the AC about 1/2 the time, (around 1000 W) it uses about 0.5 GPH. Fire up the microwave at the same time and the tables say .75-1.0 GPH at 4-5K W. I've never worked it that hard so I'm not sure of those figures.

The short answer is A LONG TIME.
