Here's the response from the guy who installed it in this road racer:
Perry,
I am thoroughly delighted with the performance of the Davies Craig pump. I
run it with their EWP controller and have the water temperature set for 190
degrees. Even at full race speed (8000+ RPM) the water temperature does not
exceed 190 degrees.
I would add the following caution. The thermistor that provides input to
the EWP controller MUST at all times be in water. In my first installation
I had it barely in immersed in water and it cost me a blown head gasket, as
the pump just stopped running. (Default is designed for pump off on EWP
controller failure. I would have made it pump on full blast on EWP
controller failure. THis is how I have modified it at this time.)
I do not use any mechanical pump at this time.
Good luck.

A couple interesting things I found on the web regarding the EWP.
Scroll down to nearly the bottom to and check out the installation in the
photo under "Cooling System". I've emailed the guy to ask how the unit
has
performed and will post his response.

A bit more alarming is this:

I wonder if they would share results under a NDA?
