If we heard about every Lyc problem caused on a daily basis we might never fly spam again! Hi Bill, Most of us are also on aircraft specific lists, such as the RV list, or the Van's Aircraft Forum. If an RV makes an emergency landing, it's usually posted, just like on the rotary list. Let's say there are 100 times more Lycoming RV pilots on the RV lists than alternate engine RV pilots. If there were only 5 alternate engine problems in the last couple years, and the failure rate was the same, then there would be 500 Lycoming problems reported.
