I’m NA and built a tangential muffler from 6” inconel.  I haven’t run the engine over 3000 RPM – but so far it isn’t bad at all - and that was inside my garage.  I’m moving the plane to the airport in a few days (took the wings and canard up there today!) – so I guess I’ll find out what it sounds like at higher RPM once I get her all put back together.

Thanx

I'm thinking that with all this spare space I could sneak in one of these.

An added advantage is that this would help form a venturi inside the augmenter.

I know you NA guys have all kinds of trouble with mufflers, but could the turbo actually help by smoothing out all the nasty pulses?

Thoughts?

John
