As reported a couple of weeks ago, I found that the Earls filters were causing a fuel flow restriction at high rpm. With this resolved I'm now getting 4950 rpm static on full fine pitch and much better acceleration on take-off. Cruising at 4800 rpm and 30 MAP at 5000' (I said I was being gentle) I got just under 7/gph and 160 kts GS on the trip. Another blissfully uneventful 2.6 hrs. I wonder if I should log the trip, though, since I only had the controls for a total of about 10 minutes. My wife flew the plane the rest of the time. :( By the way, the custom chairs in the picture came from another Cozy builder, Len, who has recently set up http://flightlinechairs.com to fund his composite habit. He duplicated my paint scheme and trim colors. I think he'll even do RV's!
